The candidates should be well behaved both in as well as outside the school. They should possess the qualities of democratic leadership, sense of responsibility, decision-making ability, team spirit, service before self, loyalty towards the school and satisfactory academic performance.

The school also has a house system which comprises of the four houses:

Blue: Blue symbolizes authority, truth, loyalty and quality
Green: Green symbolizes spring, growth, wealth and opulence in every aspect of a child.
Red: Red symbolizes valor, courage, passion and aggression inculcating the spirit of competition amongst the students.
Yellow: Yellow symbolizes warmth, compassion and feeling of oneness amongst the fellow members.

The captains and the vice captains are appointed by the teacher in-charge of every house.

Other Office Bearers of the council are either nominated or appointed by the Principal of the school.
