Rules of Library


  • (1) The library is a “Silence Zone”. Students have to strictly maintain silence in the library.
  • (2) It is compulsory for students to carry their School Identity card for issuance of books.
  • (3) Books will be issued only during the library period and will also be taken back during the library period only. No book will be issued or returned during any teaching period.
  • (4) Students of classes IX to XII may issue reference subject book only in zero period. Book will not be issued unless previous book is returned.
  • (5) Reference books such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, periodicals etc. are not issued out of the library.
  • (6) Marking, underlining or writing on library books, periodicals or journals are strictly forbidden.
  • (7) Students may not lend or exchange the issued book with their classmates.
  • (8) In case of book is misused, wrongly handled or lost, the concerned borrower will have to replace the book or pay the full price of the book.
  • (9) The librarian may call for a book at any time, even if the normal period of a loan has not expired.
  • (10) Eatables/bags/personal books will not be allowed in the library.
  • (11) All library books must be returned before the commencement of the Annual Examination of the academic session.
  • (12) Library books, magazines and furniture are the property of the school and must not be written upon, damaged or taken out of the library without permission.
